Arend Soeteman (1944) is professor in Legal Theory and Legal Philosophy at the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam. His main publication in English is Logic in Law, Remarks on Logic and Rationality in Normative Reasoning, Especially in Law, Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht/Boston/London, 1989. He is member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences.
